This Can't be Good, Can it? 62/365

I'm not sure what is going on with my 18-200mm VR lens. While I was shooting last Sunday at Manly, the top glass bit actually came off!... I screwed it back on, but as evidenced by this shot, something is not right!! How can half the picture be in reasonable focus and the other half not? This is not DOF.. the left hand side is in near focus, while the right side is off?
KK.. think i need a lens service... though this effect is fairly interesting...
