After Byron we drove back South, stopping at a surf shop in Macksville where I purchased my new board.. a 6'8" 7S Superfish. Keen to try it out we went to the local break Scott's Head, but it and nearby Grassy Head were both blown out by the onshore wind. I liked Grassy Head and wanted to stay there, but all the accom was sold out so we moved on to Port Macquarie...
We stayed overnight and got up early to surf City Beach (above) where I finally got to try out my new board...
